The Twipra Student Federation (TSF) has declared an indefinite strike across Tripura beginning on Friday, March 21, to press for the inclusion of the Roman script in the Kokborok language question paper for board exams.
The announcement was made by TSF’s state secretary, Hamalu Jamatia, at a press conference held at the Agartala Press Club on Thursday.
The strike is expected to disrupt educational and transportation services throughout the state. TSF has warned that, should the government fail to address their demands promptly, the movement will intensify.
As of now, there has been no official statement from the government regarding the strike.
