Several top government officials including Chief Secretary JK Sinha and Chief Election Officer Kiran Gitte from Agartala visited Dharmanagar on Tuesday to observe and maintain the situation in the wake of post-poll terror.
They said that the situation in North Tripura District is calm so far and discussed measures to the situation under control.
Notably, the administration is struggling to handle the situation in various parts of Tripura, especially after the election.
In this regard, a group of officials visited Dharmanagar, the headquarters of North Tripurs District on Tuesday to keep the situation normal.
They held a crucial meeting with the Superintendent of Police and local District Magistrate.
State Chief Electoral Officer Kiran Gitte, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan, Additional Director General of Police Saurabh Tripathi, District
Superintendent of Police Dr. Kiran Kumar and DM North Tripura District Dr. Nagesh Kumar B were present in this meeting.
While speaking to reporters, the Chief Election Commissioner said, “The situation is under control in the North Tripura District. I am hopeful that this peace will be maintained”.
He urged the residents of Dharmanagar to keep the situation normal.
