In the Cabinet meeting, it has been decided to appoint 146 people in various posts in the Directorate of Land Records and Settlement under the Department of Revenue. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury announced this decision of the Cabinet meeting in a press conference at the press conference hall of the Secretariat after the Cabinet meeting.

In a press conference, the tourism minister said that today’s cabinet meeting has decided to develop the front side of the Rajbari as a weekend tourist hub with the aim of expanding the tourism industry centered on the state’s traditional Ujjayanta Palace.
For this purpose, the road from Lakshminarayan Bari to Rabindra Bhawan Chowmuhani and from Rajbari Front Park to Junction Gate will be declared as no-entry zone every Saturday and Sunday from 4 pm to 1 am.
The area in front of the Rajbari will be made more attractive by the tourism office. There will be dhabas, food stalls, selfie points and boating on Rajbari Lake. Cultural programs will also be organized on both days to entertain the visitors. For this, a permanent cultural stage will also be built in front of the Rajbari. As a result of this initiative of the tourism department, the government will get revenue as well as an opportunity of income will be created for the unemployed youth and artists. The cabinet meeting decided to start the second session of the 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly from July 7, 2023.
