Agartala, April 20: Following the recent Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council elections and reports of post-poll unrest in several areas, the Tripura Pradesh BJP held a high-level press conference on Sunday to address the prevailing political situation in the state and outline the party’s future course of action.
Senior leaders of the state BJP were present at the press meet, where they expressed concern over incidents of violence reported after the announcement of the election results. The leaders emphasized the need to maintain peace and harmony across the state and urged all political parties and supporters to respect democratic values.
During the conference, BJP leaders also reviewed the party’s performance in the TTAADC polls and discussed strategies for strengthening the organization at the grassroots level. They stated that the party remains committed to development in tribal areas and assured that necessary steps would be taken to address grievances raised by the people.
The leaders further called upon the administration to ensure strict action against those involved in post-poll disturbances. They reiterated that law and order must be upheld and that no individual or group should attempt to disrupt the peaceful environment of the state.
