The Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress (TPYC) has requested the Tripura State Co-operative Bank’s chief administrator to establish an examination center in Agartala for the recruitment of staff for the bank.
Tripura State Co-operative Bank (TSCB) will conduct an exam to recruit 156 ministerial staff members. However, the agency appointed has arranged the examination center in Silchar located in Assam’s Cachar district.
Neelkamal Saha, the president of TPYC, has communicated to the chief administrator of TSCB that conducting the exam in Silchar will pose significant challenges for candidates from Tripura, who will have to bear additional expenses for travel, accommodation, and meals.
He said, “Although several suitable locations are available within the state, the exam center has been shifted to Silchar, which is considerably distant from Tripura.”
Saha demanded mandating PRTC of candidates appearing for the exam, as otherwise youths of other states could get the job, which is meant for Tripura youths
He hopes that the TSCB will consider his demand seriously and take necessary action. Otherwise, TPYC will be compelled to launch a protest on the matter.
