Patichhari, Nov 7: Two vehicles collided head-on in the Patichhari area on Thursday morning while returning from the Patichhari fair held yesterday. Two people sustained injuries in the accident.

Upon receiving information, police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the injured. They were immediately taken to Gomati District Hospital, where doctors referred one of them, identified as Dulal Jamatia of Gamaku Bari under Amarpur subdivision, to Agartala GB Hospital for better treatment.

The identity of the other injured person is yet to be ascertained. Police have seized both vehicles involved in the accident.

According to eyewitnesses, liquor bottles and glass pieces were found inside one of the cars. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
