Bishalgarh, June 29, 2025:
A video of a young man walking around the Bishalgarh bypass with a pistol in his hand went viral on Saturday afternoon, creating widespread sensation and public concern in the area.

Later, it was revealed that the individual in question is Naib Subedar Niranjan Meena, an officer in the Intelligence Wing of the 49th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF). Allegations surfaced claiming that Meena was escorting a vehicle carrying narcotics along with a smuggler at the time.

The incident has raised serious concerns among both the police and local residents. People in the area have strongly demanded stringent action against those involved, emphasizing the need for an impartial investigation.

Meanwhile, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Sipahijala district issued a clarification on the matter on Sunday, assuring that necessary legal steps would be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
