The (YTF) Yuvarajnagar Block Committee has alleged widespread irregularities and corruption in MGNREGA works at Madhuban Gram Panchayat under Madhuban ADC Village in Yuvarajnagar Block of ’s North Tripura district.

Addressing the media, leaders of the organization claimed that while only a limited number of workers were actually engaged in the work, the names of many additional workers were allegedly included in the master roll. The organization also alleged that extra people were gathered only for taking photographs in order to falsely show higher attendance at the work site.

According to the YTF leadership, they had sought clarification and accountability from the Panchayat Secretary and the MGNREGA Mate regarding the matter, but no satisfactory response was received.

The organization has demanded an impartial investigation into the alleged irregularities and strict action against those found guilty.
