Bharatiya Janata Party Tripura would strongly oppose two-day strike

The two-day nationwide bandh is scheduled to come off on January 8.

The Bharatiya Janata Party Tripura would strongly oppose two-day strike called by Left backed Central Trade Union in protest against repressive policies for workers adopted by NDA government.

“We have strong objection to two-day strike called by Left backed Central Trade Union Congress (CITU) which will serve no purpose for the working section of people”, said BJP state general secretary Pratima Bhowmik at a press conference.

BJP state general secretary Pratima Bhowmik also added the party urged the state government to take full responsibility to ensure normalcy in the state during the two-day strike.

“The demands raised by the CITU are nothing but totally unrealistic and far from the ground reality”, said BJP state general secretary Pratima Bhowmik

Urging the people, government employees, owners and drivers of vehicles to perform duty as they are doing normally and the state government will ensure safety of the working people, she added.
