PR Bari, July 28: On Sunday, acting on a tip-off from a confidential source, a police team led by Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ratan Ravidas of PR Bari Police Station conducted a raid at the residence of Subrata Kar in the Bhatkhola Chikantali area.
During the operation, the police recovered 162 bottles of foreign liquor and beer. Subrata Kar was arrested on the spot, and a case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
On the same day, in a separate operation, the police raided an abandoned rubber plantation in the Gabtali Sadhupara area and seized 39 kilograms of dried marijuana, estimated to be worth around ₹2 lakh in the market. While no arrests were made in connection with the marijuana seizure, a case has been registered under Section 106 of the BNSS-2023, and an investigation is currently underway.
Confirming both incidents, OC Ratan Ravidas stated that the raids were part of the police department’s ongoing efforts to curb illegal activities in the region.
