“Amtali SDPO Prasun Kanti Tripura tried to kill my son doctor Kaushik Debnath last night of January 25. The written complaint that I submitted to the NCC police station in this regard has been completely distorted.
The police have committed double-dealing in taking up the case and investigating the case as the police official raised a complaint against it” Binay Debnath, father of the injured doctor Kaushik Debnath said reporters, While submitting a deputation to the West District Superintendent of Police in the Jagatpur incident on Tuesday.

He demanded that Amtali SDPO Prasun Kanti Tripura should be dismissed from service because he misused the law as a man of law. His son was dragged out of the hospital while undergoing treatment and beaten, which is totally illegal.

Binay Debnath claimed that his son might have survived because of the journalists present at the scene that day. He demanded a fair investigation of the incident that happened in Jagatpur.

He further said, “The police have not yet arrested those involved in the attack on the SDPO’s son and daughter that day. The police of NCC police station has completely moved here according to Amtali SDPO Prasun Kanti Tripura.”

He alleged that two innocent boys were arrested by the police and sent to jail in this incident.

Binoy Debnath has clearly informed the journalists that if no legal action is taken against SDPO then everyone including the local people will approach the chief minister.

The father of the arrested Kaushik Debnath also complained that action must be taken against the SDPO accused of this incident, otherwise the people of Jagatpur will organize many kinds of agitations. The accused SDPO abused the power of the law where most of the officers of Tripura police are making a name for themselves.
