Recently, it was an alleged that a 1.5 day old child was sold for money in Banshipara of Mungiakami block.

The administration later rescued the child from Karbook in Gomati district. Currently, the child is under treatment at Teliamura sub-district hospital.

On Thursday, CPIM state secretary and MLA Jitendra Chowdhury went to Teliamura sub-divisional hospital to see the child.

On this day, he also met the child’s father and mother. Jitendra Chaudhary also inquired about the child’s physical condition after talking to the hospital doctors.

Talking to the media on this day, CPIM State Secretary and MLA Jitendra Chowdhury criticized the state government for such a situation.
