Agartala, July 15: Police arrested Manoj Gunn from a secret hideout in Pratapgarh, Agartala on Monday in connection with the Ashish Das murder case. He was produced before the Kamalpur court along with two other accused — Prashant Das and Pranesh Bonik. The court granted four days of police remand for all three accused.
According to police sources, a total of four individuals have been arrested so far in this case, including the owner of a local brick kiln, Souvik Das, who is currently in custody.
It may be recalled that Ashish Das was brutally murdered on June 7 following a dispute over land. The police have intensified their investigation and further arrests are expected as the probe progresses.
