In this situation in Tripura, Power Secretary Abhishek Singh (IAS) held an emergency meeting through video conference on Sunday to ensure that there is no major disaster in the power system of the state and that it can be repaired by Monday morning.
On Sunday afternoon, the Electricity Secretary instructed all Additional General Managers and Deputy General Managers of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) through video conference, that everyone should be present in their respective district, sub-division or divisional offices.
He also ordered to keep an eye on people so that there is no harm to people if the power lines or any other areas are disturbed during the storm. Besides, he ordered the toll free call center to be more active.
TSECL Managing Director Debashish Sarkar, General Manager Swapan Debbarma, Additional General Manager Kanak Lal Das were present at TSECL office on this day. Besides, in-charge officers and engineers of various circles and divisions have joined this video conference.
Everyone promised the power secretary that they will try their best to keep the power service intact. In addition, they have also informed that all preparations will be made for quick repair of the electricity service if there is a breakdown somewhere.
In this regard, the power secretary requested the people of the state to extend their hand of cooperation.
