Pradyot criticizes CPIM for opposing Tipra Motha’s bandh

The former Chairman of TIPRA Motha, Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, criticizes Communist Party of India (Marxist) for opposing to the bandh called by Tipra Motha.

In a press conference held at the party’s state office in Agartala on Sunday, CPIM central committee member Narayan Kar also strongly opposed the 12-hour shutdown in the ADC area called by the Tipra Mathar party on September 30.

Saying that this shutdown is unjustified. He said that Pradyut Kishore has returned from Delhi and is saying that the Union Home Ministry, especially Amit Shah, is very positive in solving the problems of the tribals of the state. Opposing Pradyut’s statement that this bandh was called to increase pressure on the Centre, Narayan Kar said that Tipra Matha called this bandh not to increase pressure on the Centre, but to prevent the disintegration of his own party.

He misled the tribals into his party by creating ambitions of Greater Tipraland among the tribal society especially among the student youth and middle class sections of the tribal people.

Tipra Matha’s rule in TTAADC has created a stalemate. There are no roads, work and food shortages are getting worse and worse. There has been a deadlock in schools and colleges. He expressed the opinion that this bandh was called to divert the attention of the tribal society.
