In a press conference on Sunday, TIPRA Motha leaders announced that a central meeting of TIPRA Motha will be organised at Swami Vivekananda Ground on next November 5.
At the press conference, TIPRA Motha also alleged that the state government is tarring the Village Committee Elections.

Motha leaders said that the party will conduct agitation programmes in the blocks of state on October 19 centering the village committee elections issue.

Motha spokesperson said that the party has severe objection regarding the notification released by the State Election Commission on Saturday.

They also criticised such an action of the state government. He added that people of Tripura know that there are 587 village committees in Tripura and the elections of these village committees are supposed to be conducted on March 7, 2021.

The people of ADC areas are waiting for the election date from the last 1.5 years. However, the election is still pending.
