This morning, Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu listened to the live broadcast of
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme at Bardowali Higher
Secondary School in Agartala. During this time, he listened to the Prime Minister’s
address along with students, teachers, and others present.

Speaking after the Prime Minister’s address, the Governor said that through the
‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlights the inspiring
stories of people across India who have made significant contributions in the fields of education, healthcare, environmental conservation, innovation, and social service.

He said the programme brings to the forefront the grassroots initiatives and
achievements of the youth, farmers, women, artisans, entrepreneurs, and self-help
groups, which inspire the citizens of the country.

The Governor further said that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ holds special significance for Tripura, as the Prime Minister has recognized the state’s various notable achievements through this programme on multiple occasions. He noted that through this programme, various local initiatives and success stories from Tripura have gained recognition at both the national and international levels.

At the end of the programme, the Governor interacted with the students and
answered their various questions. He urged them to be disciplined and dedicated in
order to succeed in life. He also encouraged the students to play a positive role in
the development of society by upholding the values of patriotism, innovative thinking, and nation-building.

Those present at the event included Sampa Chowdhury, Corporator of Ward No. 40 of Agartala Municipal Corporation; U.K. Chakma, Secretary to the Governor; Dr. Vishal Kumar, District Magistrate of West District; Namit Pathak, Superintendent of Police, West District; Dr. Samit Roy Chowdhury, Director of the School Education Department; other officials of the School Education Department; and the teachers and students of Bardowali Higher Secondary School.
