Agartala/Kohima, Feb 10: In a tragic development, Pranab Das, a young blogger from the state who had been missing for over a month, was found dead in the Dzukou Valley.

Police suspect that he may have succumbed to extreme cold and prolonged lack of food after reportedly losing his way in the valley.

According to sources, the body was recovered intact near a helipad in the Dzukou Valley area. Kohima Police have launched a detailed investigation into the incident. The mobile phones recovered from his possession have been sent for forensic examination to ascertain further details surrounding his disappearance and death.

Pranab had gone missing more than a month ago, triggering concern among his family members and local residents. Despite efforts and anxious waiting, there had been no trace of him until the recent recovery of his body.

His mortal remains were brought from Kohima to his residence in Malaynagar on Monday. As the body reached home, a pall of gloom descended over the locality. Family members, relatives, and neighbours gathered to pay their last respects.

Described by locals as a polite and well-known face in the area, Pranab’s untimely demise has left the community in shock. No one had anticipated such a tragic end, and his death has cast deep sorrow among those who knew him.
