Agartala, May 18: A shocking assault incident came to light after a man from Sonamura was allegedly abducted and brutally attacked after leaving the Agartala court premises.

According to reports, Dhanu Das, a resident of Shantipalli in Sonamura, had arrived at the Agartala court on Saturday afternoon. It is alleged that notorious criminal “Battery Bishu” of Bishalgarh and his associates had been following him from Bishalgarh.

After completing his work at the court, Dhanu Das was allegedly forced into a white Bolero vehicle from a lane near the court office area and severely beaten by the accused. Later, the attackers reportedly abandoned him in a bleeding condition at another location before fleeing the scene.

Acting swiftly, police arrested three alleged associates of the “Battery Bishu” gang on Saturday evening. The arrested individuals have been identified as Ravi Mia, Zakir Hossain, and Iqbal Hossain.

During interrogation, police reportedly learned that the main mastermind behind the attack was “Battery Bishu” of Bishalgarh. Following this lead, personnel from Paschim Police Station conducted a raid at Bishu’s residence in North Brajpur, Bishalgarh, on Sunday evening. However, the accused was not found at the location.

Police investigation into the case is currently underway.
