Udaipur, Feb 3: Panic gripped the Udaipur Agriculture Chowmuni area after a truck rammed into a residential house on Tuesday, leaving an elderly woman trapped underneath the vehicle.

The deceased has been identified as Savita Saha. According to sources, she was asleep inside the house when the truck suddenly lost control and crashed into the structure, pinning her beneath it.

On receiving information, personnel from the Udaipur Fire Department rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.

Officials from Radha Kishorepur Police Station, along with the Sub-Divisional Police Officer and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Trideep Sarkar, also reached the scene to oversee the situation.

Rescue efforts were carried out promptly, but the incident triggered widespread panic and tension in the entire area. Police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
