On 15.05.2025 since 9.50 hours a road blockade was caused by some men and women at 82 mile bazar (Kalibari Tri-Junction) under Manu PS area of Dhalai District in protest of transfer of one Doctor namely Dr. Akash Bhowmik of 82 mile PHC.
Subsequently, the road blockade was removed by the Police. Complaint has been lodged against 18 persons including Dr. Akash Bhowmik for their involvement in road blockade on NH-8 and causing disruption of vehicular movement and public hardship.
Case under section 8 (B) of the National High Way Act 1956 and 126 (1) /61(2) of BNS has been registered. The investigation is in progress.
