In a move set to transform the agricultural landscape of Matabari and its adjoining regions, Tripura’s Minister for Agriculture, Ratan Lal Nath, laid the foundation stone for the much-anticipated Matabari Agri Development Research-cum-Training Centre today.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Nath expressed optimism that the centre would open up new opportunities for farmers, helping them adopt advanced methods and contribute to the overall socio-economic growth of the region.
The event drew a sizable gathering, including Matabari MLA Abhishek Debroy, MLA Jitendra Majumdar, senior officials from the state agriculture department, and several local representatives — reflecting the importance of the initiative to the region’s development.
Once operational, the centre is expected to become a hub for agricultural innovation, offering continuous learning opportunities and resources tailored to local farming needs.
