Once again, the unusual increase in the price of onion has made the buyers unhappy.

The Food Department has launched a special initiative to control the market rates.

Under these circumstances, the State Food Department and the Wholesale Traders Association have opened onion sales centers at wholesale prices in the Maharajganj market.

There, the price of one kg of onion has been fixed at 55 rupees.

Food Department Director Nirmal Adhikari inaugurated this counter on Friday. There were also members of the business association.

The Food Department and Maharajganj Bazar Traders Association have started to sell onion at Rs 55 per kg from Friday onwards.
