In a heartwarming gesture of appreciation, Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumder announced the provision of health cards for all safaimitras (sanitation workers) during an Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Health Camp held at the AMC Town Hall today. The event brought together safaimitras from across the city to acknowledge their invaluable contribution to maintaining Agartala’s cleanliness.

Mayor Majumder expressed his sincere gratitude to the safaimitras for their unwavering dedication, especially when facing challenging weather conditions. The camp was inaugurated by Mayor Majumder, who is also the MLA of 7 Ramnagar, and was attended by several other dignitaries, including Deputy Mayor Manika Das Datta, Commissioner Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav, MIC Member Uday Vaskar Chakraborty, and Chairman of the Standing Committee for Health and Family Welfare Uday Vaskar Chakraborty. All speakers acknowledged the crucial role played by safaimitras in keeping the city clean and healthy.
