A remarkable story of resilience and compassion has emerged from Rajnagar, where a two-year-old boy has recovered from severe burn injuries, thanks to the timely intervention of Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb.
The boy had fallen into a hot cauldron on April 7 in Madhyam Krishnapur, Radhanagar Gram Panchayat located in Rajnagar constituency.
He suffered severe burns on his face and body. His father, Arjun Tripura, a day laborer struggling to support his family of five, was devastated as his child suffered at the Santir Bazar District Hospital. The boy’s recovery has brought relief and gratitude to his impoverished family.
Former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, moved by the family’s plight, quickly sent a representative to the hospital with Rs 50,000 in financial aid. This support enabled the child’s immediate treatment and recovery.
Arjun Tripura, the boy’s father, expressed gratitude, stating, “Thanks to Biplab Kumar Deb’s humanitarian assistance, my child is now fully recovered and playing again. A portion of the Rs 50,000 remains unused and is still with me.”
Inspired by Deb’s compassion, Arjun invested the remaining funds in planting rubber saplings with the help of villagers to secure a better future for his child. This initiative reflects his gratitude and determination to improve his family’s circumstances.
Biplab Kumar Deb has a history of benevolence, recently providing an artificial leg for a road accident victim. His continuous efforts to support those in need have been widely recognized.
Deb’s various social and humanitarian works set an example of his commitment to helping people, giving families like Arjun Tripura’s renewed hope, according to their neighbors.
