School teacher arrested in Tripura for molesting student

One SSA teacher of Sabaroom subdivision was arrested for allegedly outraging modesty of a school girl at Purba Lodhuya area sparking widespread resentment among the locals.

The arrested SSA teacher was identified as Biplab Das, husband of a local BJP leader of Sabroom.

Initially, OC of Sabroom police station Kamal Kar Chowdhury was reluctant to arrest the culprit even after registering a specific case. However, later he was compelled to arrest the accused person following pressure from the higher ups.
