Agartala, Aug 23: Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, during his two-day visit to the southern district, reviewed the implementation of various central government projects and interacted with the beneficiaries.
The Governor assessed the effectiveness of schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, drinking water supply, irrigation, healthcare, and toilet construction. Among the five beneficiaries he interacted with, two were women, including one identified as a “Lakhpati Didi”.
Addressing a gathering at the West Sabroom School grounds, Governor Nallu assured that the Zilla Parishad would make every effort to extend the benefits of these schemes to those who are yet to be covered.
As part of the visit, a cultural program was organized at East Kathalchhari School. The Governor was accompanied by South Zilla Parishad President Deepak Dutta, the District Magistrate, and the Superintendent of Police. He also visited the rubber processing center, the paddy procurement program, and a sub-health center during his tour.
