Tripura Police registered a case against Trinamool Leaders

Tripura Police has registered a case against Trinamool Congress MPs- Abhishek Banerjee, Dola Sen, Bratya Basu and other party leaders for obstructing police personnel from carrying on with their duty.

The case has been registered at Khowai Police Station and the leaders have been booked under Section 186/34 of the Indian Penal Code. 

Tripura Trinamool Congress leaders Subal Bhowmick and Prakash Das have also been charged in the FIR.

Earlier Five Trinamool workers were arrested in Tripura.

Ambasa police arrested them on Tuesday morning.

A local court of Dhalai district on Tuesday sent five Trinamool Congress workers to seven days jail in connection with a case filed accusing them of stone pelting and causing public nuisance at Ambassa on Saturday.

The five arrested are Trinomool workers, Tamal Basu, Uttam Kalai, Miton Biswas, Pankaj Debnath, Nitu Malakar.

West Bengal Law Minister Moloy Ghatak, who reached Tripura on Tuesday, echoed similar sentiments, saying that false charges were brought against TMC workers.
