Tripura Pradesh Congress president Asish Kumar Saha has unveiled a comprehensive campaign against the six-year rule of the BJP coalition government in the state.
Starting on December 15, Congress leaders will conduct door-to-door campaigns, and distribute leaflets addressing 17 critical issues affecting Tripura.
Saha, during a press conference, expressed deep concern over the ‘anarchy situation’ created by the BJP coalition government.
He specifically pointed out the drug menace in Tripura, and accused the ruling party of providing shelter to drug-addicted youths involved in criminal activities, compromising the state’s security.
Saha underscored the immediate necessity of making Tripura a drug-free state, highlighting alarming statistics indicating an average of five daily HIV diagnoses due to drug addiction.
He also raised concerns about a disturbing trend of suicides, with Tripura ranking among the top states in the country for such incidents, reporting an average of 2-3 suicides daily.
The upcoming door-to-door campaign by Congress leaders aims to inform the public about these critical issues and raise awareness regarding the impact of the six-year BJP rule on the well-being of Tripura’s residents.
