Agartala, September 16: Tripura Police have initiated criminal proceedings against two political Party workers for allegedly delivering hate speeches that could disturb communal peace in the state.
Those named in the cases are Gautam Buddha Debbarma, a senior leader of TIPRA Motha, and Gouranga Rudrapal, the state president of Amra Bangali. According to police, both leaders made provocative remarks that quickly spread on social media, raising concerns over potential unrest.
Officials stated that the action was taken to preserve the state’s communal harmony, which has come under strain in recent weeks. Police confirmed that investigations are underway, and strict legal measures will follow if the allegations are proven.
