The Government of India has officially designated Nischintapur Railway Station as a Land Customs Station, which is connecting Tripura’s Agartala Railway Station to Akhaura Railway Station in Bangladesh.
Tripura Tourism and Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury shared this update on Facebook, stating that the declaration was made on September 6.
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnab, and Tripura’s Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha for their contributions to the anticipated Agartala-Akhaura rail link.
