During the recent elections, a member of the CRPF’s 124th battalion, Head Constable Montu Bora from Barpeta, Assam, received widespread praise for his compassionate act.
While on duty at Booth No. 33, Assembly No. 57 in North Tripura District during the East Tripura Parliamentary Constituency elections on April 26th, Bora noticed a mother struggling in the heat with her infant while waiting to vote.

He immediately stepped in to assist, earning praise from both state police authorities and the CRPF for his actions.

While maintaining security during the elections, Bora not only carried his gun but also took the compassionate step of assisting a distressed mother.

By taking care of her infant, he allowed her to vote without worry. This selfless act, captured in a touching moment, quickly spread on social media and in newspapers, highlighting Bora’s kindness.

Both the state police administration and the CRPF recognized his humanity and dedication to duty. Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty commended Bora, emphasizing the importance of security personnel engaging in social welfare activities.
