Tripura State Co-operative Bank authority give clarification on shifting site of examination to Assam

The Tripura State Co-operative Bank (TSCB) officials clarified the recent controversy regarding the recruitment exam location. They explained that the bank needed to hire 156 staff members, including 50 officers, 78 clerks, and 28 multitasking staff, including women. A total of 19,664 people applied for these positions.

They further stated that initially, the bank selected Agartala as the exam site. However, due to capacity constraints at the examination centers in Agartala, only 560 candidates could take the exam in each shift.

The Bank and IBPS attempted to accommodate all women and physically handicapped candidates in Agartala. Due to space constraints, the exams for clerks, multitasking staff, and officers will be held in Agartala from May 3-5.

The exams will take place at five centers on the first day and six centers each on the second and third days in online mode.
Despite efforts, not all candidates could be accommodated in Agartala, so some will have to take the exam in Guwahati, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Silchar, and Tezpur.

The bank expressed regret over the issue, stating that all arrangements have been made, and due to lack of space, part of the exams will be held outside Tripura.
