INDIAN ARMY COMMENCES SECOND PHASE OF PRE-RECRUITMENT TRAINING FOR AGNIVEER ASPIRANTS OF TRIPURA

Building on the success of Phase I, a dedicated cohort of 13 aspirants are undergoing intensive physical, academic, and medical preparation under structured military guidance at Agartala Military Station.

Marking a significant milestone in youth empowerment and regional capacity building, the Phase II of the Pre-Recruitment Training Program for local Agniveer aspirants officially commenced under the aegis of Spear Corps of Indian Army.

Organized to mentor and prepare young candidates from Tripura for entry into the Indian Armed Forces under the Agnipath Scheme, the two-week intensive training camp will run from 17 August to 29 August, 2026. A select group of 13 high-potential candidates are undergoing customised, multi-dimensional training tailored to their specific stages in the recruitment pipeline.

Aspirants who have cleared the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) are receiving high-intensity physical conditioning. The focus centers on endurance running, functional strength building, obstacle agility and core stability to ensure peak performance in upcoming recruitment rallies. Aspirants preparing for upcoming written tests are participating in structured classroom coaching covering the complete CEE syllabus including Mathematics, General Science and Logical Reasoning complemented by foundational physical fitness sessions.

To ensure candidates meet the strict entry criteria of the Armed Forces, all 13 participants will undergo rigorous evaluation for core physical attributes. Additionally, preliminary medical screenings will be conducted at the Military Hospital to identify, evaluate and advise on medical readiness prior to official selection boards.

Continuing the Momentum of Phase I Pre-Recruitment Training conducted in May 2926, Phase II builds directly upon the groundwork laid during Phase I. During the initial phase, 29 candidates underwent baseline guidance, resulting in 7 aspirants successfully clearing the competitive CEE. Phase II is strategically designed to sharpen that progress, turning candidates potential into definitive selection results. Beyond physical and academic instruction, the residential nature of the program aims to instill fundamental military values, including self-discipline, teamwork, leadership, and national pride amongst the participants.
