Udaipur, July 1, 2025: Putting an end to a prolonged phase of speculation and controversy, Tarit Kanti Chakma has been officially removed from the post of District Magistrate (DM) of Gomati district. His removal brings closure to a much-debated chapter in the district’s administrative affairs.
In his place, Rinku Lather has been appointed as the new District Magistrate of Gomati. The state government issued the transfer order on Monday evening, confirming the administrative reshuffle.
