Agartala, Sept 19: The eighth session of the 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly is scheduled to begin on Friday.

Government employees are hopeful that Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will announce an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) as a festive season benefit. Sources indicated that the announcement could come as a “puja bonanza” for the state’s workforce.

The Opposition, however, is gearing up to raise pressing issues during the session, including unemployment, poor road conditions in Agartala city, and other current concerns.

The session is expected to see both key announcements from the government and heated debates across the floor.
