246 voters from 72 families formally joined the BJP

Agartala, Monday: A large number of leaders and supporters from Tipra Motha and the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday.

The joining took place during a press conference held at the state BJP office.
According to party leaders, a total of 246 voters from 72 families formally joined the BJP. State BJP General Secretary Bipin Debbarma, Office Secretary Mihir Sarkar, State Media In-Charge Sunit Sarkar, along with other party leaders, were present at the press conference.

Welcoming the new members, Bipin Debbarma said that people are joining the BJP every day, inspired by the development initiatives undertaken by the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha.


Among those who left Tipra Motha and IPFT to join the BJP were Bapi Rupini, Manimala Debbarma, Sumiti Debbarma, Prabharani Debbarma, and Budhiram Debbarma. Bipin Debbarma informed that leaders and supporters from Mandai and Simna areas have also joined the BJP.
