Kailashahar, June 17, 2025: The residents of Baghachhara village under Kailashahar subdivision are grappling with severe road connectivity issues, as the only brick-lined road in the village remains without any culvert, steel bridge, or wooden bridge.
While small vehicles manage to pass during the dry season using makeshift iron sheets laid over water channels, villagers are forced to wade through water during the rainy season to reach their homes. Despite repeated appeals to the local panchayat and district administration, no action has been taken to address the situation.
According to local sources, the villagers have expressed deep resentment over the administration’s inaction and are preparing to launch a protest movement. Plans are reportedly underway to gherao (surround) the concerned administrative officials in the coming days if immediate steps are not taken to construct a proper bridge on the road.
The villagers allege that the local administration has remained a silent spectator despite being informed several times, leading to growing frustration among the residents of the area.
